Heather Whorley

Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist    


Heather is a Speech and Language Therapist who trained at Leeds Met University, qualifying in 2007. Heather is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

Heather initially worked for the NHS in clinics, hospital wards, mainstream/special education needs nurseries and schools and more recently for education in a Specialist College. She has worked extensively with children, young people and adults (ages 0-25 years) who have wide ranges of complex needs including speech/language/communication, eating and drinking, physical, visual, sensory, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Heather specialised in working with children and young people who have Autism, learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, language delays, language disorders, PMLD and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). She has considerable experience of supporting people with augmentative and alternative communication. Heather is a Regional Makaton Tutor.  

Heather can offer Speech and Language Therapy to people in Yorkshire either in your home, nursery, school or other settings as requested. Heather offers assessment, diagnosis, treatment, reports and training.

Kim offers private, indiviualised service as an alternative to current NHS services. She is passionate about ensuring that people are provided with the right education and support to keep themselves and their families happy and healthy. She also provides first aid training, first aid for mental health, level 3 safeguarding training and anaphylaxis training (meeting requirements for HSE, EYFS and Ofsted).
